After Thanksgiving ended, we continued to enjoy our time in town. On day 2, Mackenzie started getting used to being away from home and started to sleep better and take better naps. Not as good as at home but better! I didn't bring her noise maker (didn't really know how much difference it made, but I learned!) and she wouldn't stay asleep longer than 15 minutes, but once the McKays found a fan to put in our room the first night (after midnight.....things weren't looking too good) she slept pretty soundly since it's vibrations were similar to her noise machine. If not for that thing, I was worried we'd be back to the early days of up every few hours. But luckily the fan made all the difference and she slept through the night the whole time we were there! WHEW!!!
On Friday, the ladies (Mackenz, me, Granmommy, & Meemi) all went down to a Christmas ornament display where the trees are all decorated by theme & you can buy the ornaments. The show was a disappointment this year, but Mackenzie was a hit in the baby carrier in her velour jumpsuit and pink bow! Then, when we got back we hung out with Uncle Jake and went down to the dock (Mackenzie's first trip of many to come in the years....). I got a great snapshot of the boys walking out to the dock between the trees.
We had a pretty relaxing evening that night. Meemi got to help give Mackenzie a bath, which she has really started to enjoy bathtime, so that was fun for Meemi to see! Then, we just hung out around the house - watched a movie, went to bed. A good night. Mackenzie needed some down time after her big Thanksgiving debut!
