After the big gift exchange at the Ramseys, we woke up the next morning to some pancakes (courtesy of my mom!) and said goodbye to Aunt Natalie as she headed back to Boulder. Then, we got dressed and ready and headed over to the McKays to spend Christmas day with Brannon's family. I didn't do such a good job on
the camera....guess I wore myself out from pictures on Christmas Eve. They fed us some more and then we opened up gifts. Mackenzie fell asleep in her swing again, so we opened her gifts for her. I think she gave us her best behavior all week while we were opening presents at both houses.....guess she enjoys getting gifts?!?!? (uh-
oh!). Mackenzie got lots of great gifts from both sides of the family - thanks everyone!!!We then spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out - we went on a walk to see some old friends & their new baby, went down to the dock to see the water & Poppee burning some wood, and finished up with
Meemi's family favorite - Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Ramseys came over for this dinner after they took Aunt Natalie to the airport. All in all, a great first Christmas for the little Mackenz. On Friday, we saw a few more old friends to introduce them to Mackenzie including one of my best friends from way back in middle school and her little boy. Then we headed to Fernandina Beach to spend the weekend at the McKay's beach condo. The weather was so warm, you would hardly believe it was
December! Mackenzie got her first (brief) glimpse of the water & we are looking forward to this summer when she can really explore the beach!

What a long trip that was! We hit traffic on I-95, then again on I-75.....and it's already a pretty long haul. We also had to stop
multiple times to feed/change Mackenzie, so it seemed to take FOREVER. Mackenzie held up pretty well, we fed her more than normal to keep her happy and it seemed to work. We made it home, and she crashed shortly thereafter. And we've been adjusting back to our regular routine ever since. Hope everyone
had a Merry Christmas & we wish you all the best in 2009!

Great pictures! I'm a tad jealous of a beach Christmas, I must admit. It's nice that once you drive that far, you are able to see both of your families.
