Mackenzie added her first official word (besides mama & dada) this past week at the beach house. And that first word is.......(drum roll, please!)......Dog! Or as she says it 'Dah'. She began emphatically pointing at Prissy (my in-laws dog) and saying 'Dah' all week long. I found it amusing that she lived with two dogs for almost 10 months, but said dog when she saw her Meemi & Poppee's dog. Go figure!She also started saying 'Dat'. (Not to be confused with Dah which has a short 'O' sound, and dat has a short 'A' sound!). Dat refers to other stuff she points to at random - she seems to be asking what is that. Or that's my interpretation anyways, so I just tell her whatever it is she's pointing at.
