While I'm still working on back-posting all of our many adventures in Colorado, I wanted to write a post to commemorate Mackenzie taking her first steps last night! We knew our active little girl wouldn't take too long to walk, and at 10 1/2 months, she began to try walking (just like her mommy.....I walked at 10 1/2 months too according to my baby book! Her daddy at 9 months, so I guess we're an early family.) Of course, no video yet. She only has done it a few times, and when the video comes out, she just wants to crawl. She still much prefers crawling because she has
gotten FAST at it! But, she did about 3-4 steps last night two times, and then today did it maybe 3-4 times. After about 3 steps she starts leaning forward and begins falling, so she has some work to do in order to be able to really walk across a room, but it probably won't be long!! I feel my life is changing quickly......

Walking is great! Loading the car is so much more efficient when you can have your hands full of baby gear and the little one walking beside you. :-) I can't believe she's walking already!!!

Way to go Mackenzie! It took all of 2 weeks for MP to go from what you've described to incessant walking.
