So, I've been meaning to post about this for awhile. About a month ago, our friends, Kim & Brandon, found out their little girl, Ansley had a malignant brain tumor that was pressing on her optic nerve. It really struck me because one day things were fine & then they noticed something with her eye moving and took her in and by the end of the day their worlds had changed. And it really struck me because Ansley is basically the same age as Mackenzie (she's just one day younger). You may remember her from my halloween party post.
I couldn't imagine facing that diagnosis. But Kim has been (IMHO) amazing & her attitude went almost immediately to being ready to fight this thing. They have a long road ahead of them (60-something weeks of chemotherapy total, well over a year), but the support has been overwhelming for them. I wanted to post about them & their fight because I believe (as do Kim & Brandon) that prayer can accomplish a miracle for Ansley. I get a decent number of hits each day, so I wanted to put it out there for all of you to keep them in your prayers. On my side bar you'll see a link to her website where Kim updates (very regularly I might add...impressive!) how Ansley is doing & you can read their whole story. And I added a little picture of sweet Ansley to remind us each time we get on my blog to say a prayer for her.

Thanks Valerie! Every prayer helps!! Ansley is going to beat this thing..there is no other option!
Ansley Kate is definitely in my prayers. What a cutie!
If they have any questions about Scottish Rite or physicians or anything please let me know as I may be able to help. I still keep in touch with many people there. Is she spending most of her time on the Aflac unit or on the Neuro floor? I know the manager very well for the Neuro floor there. Let me know.
The power of prayer is amazing and she will definitely be in our prayers!!
