More Peas Please!

I have been worried that Mackenzie is going to be a picky eater.  However, I have come to the realization over the past week or so, that she just has rather unique toddler tastes.  She refuses to eat ANY fruit that I give her, but she likes the Indian Dahl Soup my neighbor makes.  She doesn't like macaroni & cheese, but she'll gobble down spinach leaves from my salad if they have Asian Sesame dressing on them.  She no longer eats cheese or nuggets (at one point she did.....), but she loves spicy chinese food, gumbo, & pickles?  That's my daughter!

Another new find is frozen peas (still frozen, that is!).  My friend Claire had mentioned this to me a while ago that her son loved them when he was little & when we were over there this weekend, her kids were eating frozen blueberries & was reminded of how they loved peas as well.  So, the next meal at home, I got out the frozen peas I had been feeding her on & off (cooked) and gave her a little of both - cooked & frozen.  She loved the frozen ones, not so much the cooked ones!  Guess it feels good on their gums?  So, there you have it.  A child who refuses all fruits, but likes vegetables?  And frozen ones, at that?!?!

Of course, some still end up as a gift for the dog.....
