Monkey Hear, Monkey Say (Sort of!)

We had a WONDERFUL weekend with my family in town for an early Thanksgiving celebration since my sister flew in from Colorado for a 4-day weekend & my parents drove up to see her (and us, of course!).  It had been a while since they'd seen Mackenzie & it was really fun for them to see how much she is learning.  She has really started trying to mimic what we are saying (sometimes with great success & sometimes not...) and she talked quite a bit for them.  We taught her to say Auntie (Natalie/Nana was hard since she's not mastered the 'N' sound) and it came out pretty close - "Ah-tah".  Grandaddy got a 'Gaga' sometimes and "Dada' other times (we'll have to work on not having the same name as her daddy!).  Granmommy was a bit hard since M's sometimes come out as B's for her, so Granmommy became 'Baba' this weekend!  We also taught her to do a touchdown signal since we were watching a good bit of a football - actually she first did it after watching the TV and seeing a ref do it, and then we just kept encouraging it!

"Touchdown!"

She was also mimicking the dog!
