Saturday was a big family day. We started with our first trip to our mountain property on Talking Rock Creek since we had Mackenzie. Hard to believe it's been THAT long since we've been up to our property, but time sure does fly with little ones and it wasn't that feasible to go for so long. But she's old enough now to enjoy it, so off we went. Even the dog got to come along.....I think she's been missing the mountain trips too!
As expected, she seemed to have a wonderful time in the woods. It was an absolutely beautiful day to spend up there. The weather was unseasonably warm & not a cloud in the sky. We sat in front of the creek (Mackenzie in her backpack carrier) while eating some lunch. Then she got to explore the lay of the land on her daddy's shoulders. And she got to feel the cool water on her toes. And she got to walk around on the crackling leaves, which was so amusing to her. I think she enjoyed her first little adventure at Talking Rock.
That's Mommy and Mackenzie down by the water starting lunch
by the creek.

Giving her feet a little dip in the cool water. It was in the 70s & really warm for November so the water didn't seem too bad!
