While the Cat's Away.....

While I was gone this weekend, Mackenzie was kept quite busy by her father.  Despite coming down with a slight cold (courtesy of her mommy....I had it last week and thought Mackenzie had escaped catching it....), she went all over the place this weekend.  Friday night, she & her friend Mady Kay double dated with their daddies to the local mexican restaurant!  Oh, how I wish I had a photo.....or better yet a video of this event!  The story goes, as they were packing up the girls in their respective cars, Brannon said to Brian, "Are we crazy for trying to do this, should we just stick around the house??"  And Brian responded, "If the girls can do it, we can do it".  They did survive (amidst a few funny looks upon both carrying a baby girl, diaper bag, and floppy seat into the restaurant!).  I did get asked after the fact if Ali & I are actually able to carry on a conversation when we go to lunch with the girls!

Saturday, the action didn't slow down with a visit from Poppee & Uncle Jake.  They went to

 IHOP for breakfast, drove around and looked at real estate, went to the park, and then up to visit their Aunt Celia & family.  Apparently, she held up pretty well to the hubbub (that's my girl!).  

Today was a little more low key & I think she was pretty happy to see mommy come home & I know I was thrilled to see her.  The house was surprisingly in good shape, so it looks like daddy is pretty capable of taking care of her on his own!  Her walking improved even more since I left & she is taking so many steps together now.  She'll be totally walking really soon!  Just in time to start her mothers morning out program & I'm glad because she'll be the youngest one in her room - which I know she'll love :)
