Even though you've heard it said a million times that children love the boxes more than the toys inside, it is always funny when they choose the cheapest, most basic things to play with. Take for instance, this empty applesauce container (I cleaned it out when
she wanted it badly after we finished lunch) and her spoon. This entertained her for like 5-10 minutes - enough time for me to easily clean up the kitchen after lunch. Ahhh.....so nice when she plays by herself while I need to clean :)

I used to take cleaned out sour cream containers and spoons to keep Maya busy. She loved it and I didn't have to worry about losing good toys. And still, both girls love to play with empty yogurt containers and macaroni and cheese boxes. They're good tools in their play kitchen.
