Fun on the Deck

On Friday, Mackenzie got her first birthday present in the mail.....a little picnic table for our deck from my mom.  It's a bit early, but my mom wanted her to go ahead and get to use it as soon as it got here.  So, I opened it up and put it together.  And on Saturday evening, we spent a little time on the deck and she seemed to enjoy herself - walking all around the little table that was just her size!  She also continually wanted to climb onto the top of the table (UGH!).  On a side note, the teachers at MMO also asked if she was a climber on day 1 - apparently she had climbed into a chair and attempted to stand up.  So yes, we've got a climber.  I'm starting to think a gymboree class is in order in our near future!

Anyways, I digress.  We spent a little while enjoying our new little picnic table.  It makes me excited to think about how she'll actually use it to play, draw, eat, etc in the near 

future.  Right now, she only has the attention to sit at it for a second and then she wants to climb or walk around some more!  We also enjoyed blowing some bubbles & she got her first taste of a popsicle.  A fun summer evening :)
