Flying High.....

And having fun this weekend! Mackenzie (well all of us) had a pretty busy weekend. She got lots & lots of daddy time (which equals mommy on her own time!!). On Saturday I got to get out and go shopping and see a movie with my old college roomie - for 5 whole hours!! While I was gone, Mackenzie thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon with Daddy! He likes to take her on all sorts of adventures. They went on a really long walk over to the nearby park, then back by the old train tracks behind our neighborhood & finally back through the neighborhood all the way home. She apparently loved it. Then, after a bottle, he loaded her up and took her to his favorite store.....Home Depot! Now, she's been there quite a lot with both of us running quick errands in & out. But this time, he took her all over the store just for fun! Apparently, she enjoyed that as well! When I got home she was all smiles. I think she enjoyed her date with Daddy!

Then, Saturday night we got all ready for a 'Guys Nite Out' / 'Girls Nite In' with our community group. The guys all went out for the night while the mommies hung out all together watching the babies. (Next month we switch.....and the girls go out while daddies watch babies.....should be interesting!). So, Mackenzie got to stay up past her bedtime (although she did snooze alot while we were at our friend's house) and hang out with her baby friends.

Finally, on Sunday, I attended a wedding shower for a friend, so it was time for another date with Daddy. It seems when Daddy is on duty lately, he opts for taking her out & about. So, today they went and checked out some huge mansion million dollar home that is bank owned and I guess having an open house. (The things he likes to do with his free time.....) Again, he said she was happy the whole time & was all smiles when I got home. I could get used to dates with Daddy! This age is just so much fun & he LOVES it :)
