Christmas Lights in Florida

Well, it's about time I get some of our Christmas stuff up on the blog so I can consider it well documented and move on to our New Years pics & other general stuff we've been up to. I hate getting behind because it seems I have a ton of pictures & blogging to do. It's fun at times, but sometimes a little bit like work since I am rather particular about documenting everything I want to remember on this blog!

Anywhoo.....we arrived in Florida on the Tuesday before Christmas after a stellar trip in the car if I do say so myself! I was a bit fearful of driving by myself (daddy joined us later after working a couple more days) with a 15 month old who is still too small to turn around, so she must face
backwards in the car. I borrowed some toys & bought some at a consign- ment shop to interest her on the way down. We managed to get about 2 hours south, have lunch, stop by the Wal-Mart in the small town, & then she slept the remaining 3 hours til we pulled into my parents neighborhood. Beautiful!

My sister arrived the next night, and we met up with the in-laws for dinner and then to a local park that does a huge light display that you can drive through or walk through. We chose to walk (gotta love Florida weather in December!) and Mackenzie thoroughly enjoyed the lights, pictures of Santa, and walking around like a big girl! She was not ready to go, but after repeatedly trying to walk towards the passing cars, we called it a night!
