Wildlife Spottings

Our trip to Cumberland Island & coastal Georgia presented us with a surprising number of wildlife spottings. We saw a couple small sea turtles, an armadillo, lots of the wild horses on the island, wild turkeys, and two manatees. There were other more common sightings as well, of crabs, birds, etc. It was pretty cool!

Wild horses in front of the ruins

It's hard to see, but there is an egret (white bird) sitting on the back of this horse!

Wild turkeys - wasn't sure how friendly they were so I had to take a picture from a ways back.

The manatees - they look like big brown blobs in the water! Every now & then they'd come up for air and you'd see a little more of them, but I kept missing it......
