Update

Well, with all the computer problems, I've not been able to properly update my blog over the past week. What a bummer! But, we now have a WORKING computer :) This was a huge answer to prayer. Our hard drive had gone bad. A hard drive with ALL my husband's recordings (he has been working on composing & recording his own album for like the past few years or so.....) and my pictures were on this hard drive also..... Well, we did have an external hard drive that had a pretty recent back up of these files. However, the program files that he uses to do his recordings were possibly corrupt. The programs he used to record all of his stuff are quite old. Not sold anymore. So, we had the files, but didn't know if we would be able to have the programs to open them!

For many days now, we've been in a state of wondering if it was going to be okay or not. We were getting daily updates from the repair guy, which never were 100% that it was working or that it definitely wouldn't work. Usually the past attempt had failed in some way, but there was another thing to try..... Well, today, we got it back & it worked. Can't tell you how happy that made my hubby. What a relief. He would've been TOTALLY depressed to lose all the blood, sweat, & tears he has poured into creating this album. I am so glad my prayers on this were answerd.

In other news, my whole family is here this weekend for Memorial Day. We've been working on painting the rooms we had finished in our basement that will serve as a home office for Brannon (so he can be home more even when he has lots of work, YAY!), a recording studio (where I won't have to keep begging him to turn it down, not wake the baby, etc.), and a large room that will dually serve as a photography studio for me & a play room for Mackenzie. I am super excited to be working on painting and getting closer to actually being able to use this space.

Pictures will come soon. Mackenzie is thoroughly enjoying her extra adoring family members. That child just doesn't know what it's like to not be the complete center of all of our attention! Ah, to be the first grandchild/niece! So, we'll get some photos up of the weekend as soon as my husband actually lets me get on the computer again. He has spent all his spare time today on his newly fixed computer. I guess he was going through withdrawals!
