About a week ago, Mackenzie & I had her friend Ella over for the day while her parents were busy packing for their upcoming move. These two had a ton of fun together - getting to play at our house ALL day, not just a short play date. The only bad part of the day (for them & me) was naptime. Ella wasn't too sure about napping at our house & Mackenzie did NOT want to sleep knowing she had a playmate somewhere in her house still!
On a side note, Mackenzie knew which guest room we set up the pack & play in for Ella, where she slept, & every time for the rest of the week she would ask "Ella???" as we passed that room. (She still asks periodically even after more than a week has gone by!) Guess she misses have a playmate here all the time. Mommy is fun, but not that fun, apparently! I'd like her to be this excited when she has a 24/7 playmate (well, an eventual playmate) come to live in our house in about 5 1/2 months!

Mackenzie will be thrilled to have a brother/sister - kids get bored with parents pretty quickly.
