Brannon turned the big 3-0 today. Appropriately, he is crossing over into his 30s exactly a month before we embark on parenthood (based on due date anyways!). So, it's a big year. (I'll be following close behind him on this big step in a few months myself.....) So, I gave him some tickets to see the Atlanta Falcons at the end of the season - when Mackenzie is old enough maybe for us to go if someone can watch her or else he'll go with a friend. He thought he wouldn't get to go to any football
games this year based on the arriving baby, so hopefully that was a nice surprise. After work, we went out to dinner at "our" restaurant (where we went on our first date, and many subsequent special occasion dates through the years). It is a fun little hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant where they have hats all around that you can wear to make it a little more different and fun! Overall a great evening. He ended the evening recording a little music as he is still trying to finish his album that he's been working on before he gets too much older!
