Busy, busy, busy

The past weekend was a busy one for me. Brannon left on Friday night to go visit his brother - I guess it was their last boys' weekend before the baby. He had never been up to visit Jake at college, so he figured he better do it soon! Plus, Jake is leaving in a couple weeks for a trip to Beijing where he will be taking a class in Chinese and will be there for a number of weeks.

So, in Brannon's absence, my parents came up to spend the weekend with me. We had our neighborhood garage sale on Saturday - which was very successful for me. It had a really slow start.....we made $4 in the first 1.5 hours! But then, it picked up and we sold old printers, scanners, couches, a digital camera and lots of little items. We sold all the big items I wanted to get rid of except a couple pieces of luggage. Then we packed up what was left and took it to goodwill. What a relief to have all that stuff gone!! Now we have more room for baby gear!!

We spent the remainder of the weekend preparing the house/nursery - which I will post those updates in a separate post because there were alot of accomplishments made! And finally, they stayed until Monday because my mom wanted to go with me to a doctor's appointment where they did an ultrasound - which I had yesterday. That was neat to share that with my family (& Brannon of course!). I'll post that later as well once I upload the pictures :)
