It has been a busy weekend, and it took me a couple days to recover and get organized so I could post.... We went down to Florida for the 4th of July to spend time with Brannon's family & all of his extended family for the annual "McKay Open". It is basically
a family reunion type weekend culminating in a scramble golf tournament with crazy rules and a award ceremony for the golfers. Always a lot of fun! And this year was especially fun for everyone to get to see us just 2 months before the baby! (Which is the first grandchild of that generation - Brannon's dad is the first of his siblings to have a grandchild so everyone is thrilled!)
We got down there Thursday night & hung out with his family on
Friday and got to spend some time on the beach. Friday night they threw a couples shower for Brannon & me, and we had his dad's famous gumbo before watching the fireworks for the 4th. Then, Saturday the golfers (mostly the guys) went and played their tournament while the
girls shopped in downtown Fernandina.
Then, that night we had the awards ceremony. Sunday came quickly and we had to hit the road just a few hours after waking up. Quite a fun & busy weekend. A little sad to come home realizing that was my last time to hit the road for some time...... I'm stuck in the ATL til baby comes & probably a few months after she comes until we are able to travel with her!

Sounds like lots of fun. Do travel as much as you can when she's little, especially before #2. It just gets harder. We really miss y'all and love reading about what's going on. Love you. Have fun with little McKenzie.
