The Paparazzi!

One advantage to a long labor was that it gave our families plenty of time to make it to Atlanta in time for Mackenzie's birth. Both sets of parents left Tallahassee shortly after we called them to tell them we were on the way to the hospital b/c my water had broken. They made it to Atlanta by 11pm that night. My sister was able to catch the last flight out of Denver on Wednesday night and was in Atlanta by midnight. Then, they proceeded to wait in the waiting room overnight sleeping on the chairs, floor, etc (since we originally thought it would only be until 1am or so....), and they were there that morning to see Mackenzie within the first hour of her life!
Being the first grandchild on both sides, the
cameras were clicking non-stop! We nicknamed them the paparazzi! At one point I was holding her and my mom, sister, & mother-in-law were all standing around the bed with their cameras focused on Mackenzie! She was definitely the star of the show!
