First #2 Birthday Celebration

Being born around the Thanksgiving holidays, my family always teased me about having week long (or longer) birthday celebrations. We would have school parties before the break, family parties while visiting family for Thanksgiving, and a friend party on a weekend around the holidays when folks were in town. So, my birthday celebrations could go on for a couple weeks!

I seem to have birthed a child that will have the same problem (though I hardly consider multiple celebrations a problem!) since she was born around the labor day weekend holiday. Since so many people travel/have family in town, we have opted to wait until the following weekend to have her birthday party. But last weekend, with Aunt Natalie here (who is not coming back in a week or two for the other celebration), we went ahead and celebrated with Aunt Natalie while she was here. Mackenzie got to open Aunt Now-Wee's gift & we had a little cupcake celebration!

It made me excited about her upcoming birthday. This is the first present opening holiday where she is able to actually open the gifts! And after opening her present - a new baby doll complete with two dress up outfits, Mackenzie was attached to 'Baby Stella' the whole weekend! So fun!!

What are these?!?!?

How do you open it, Daddy??

Getting the idea & ripping into the gift!

Hmmm......what is it???

Holding 'Baby Stella' - didn't get a great picture of the doll, but man does she love that baby!

Ending with a little mini cupcake! (Actually, she ended the evening with two mini-cupcakes, but who's counting?!?!)
