We head out to the park. Mackenzie is dolled up in a cute spring dress. Happy as can be. She plays on the slide with friends, rides the pony, and is having a good time. Then, it's time for the hunt. They herd all of the kids to the hunt area, and proceed to have about a 10 minute talk beforehand. I couldn't hear all of what they were saying (I think they were thanking people, giving rules, saying a prayer, etc) - there were no speakers, they just had a megaphone thing, but it didn't work too well. Where we were standing were a few of the eggs, there wasn't an area where everyone could stand that wasn't on top of the hunt area. Being that Mackenzie had already done a hunt that week, she knew the goal - get the eggs. She starts picking up the ones around us while they talk. I try to stop her because I don't want to offend anyone by starting before the "GO".
And that's when all H*LL breaks loose. She is MAD that she can't hunt. And tired (it's close to 1 by now), and hungry..... She was screaming during the majority of the speech. Other parents were trying to help calm her with toys, etc. But when she's upset like that, she's not easily deterred from her anger. Then, they say go. But at this point, she is too upset to hunt. We couldn't calm her down. So, we called it a day and went home for lunch. I was bummed that I couldn't get cute pictures of her hunting..... But there's always next year. I did get a few of her & her daddy on the walk to the park & also sliding with her friends.

That sounds like Ava. She has a pretty long fuse but when she reaches the end of it, she 'hulks out' as we call it and there's no calming her down.
